Marjan Oudeman was appointed to the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Group N.V., ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Fortis Bank (Nederland) N.V. (as per 1 July 2010, merged with ABN AMRO Bank N.V.)on 1 April 2010.

She began her career in 1982 in Hoogovens Groep’s legal department as a Corporate Lawyer. From 1986 to 1992, she was Assistant Treasurer in Hoogovens Group’s finance department. From 1992 to 1995, she was Controller of the subsidiaries and affiliated companies of the Steel Division of Hoogovens, and in 1995, she was appointed Financial Controller of Hoogovens Packaging Steel and member of the Management Team. In 1998, she was appointed Managing Director, Hoogovens Packaging Steel, and Member of the Management Team of the Steel Division.

After the merger of Koninklijke Hoogovens and British Steel into Corus in 1999, she was appointed Managing Director Corus Packaging Plus and became a member of the Board of Corus Nederland B.V. In 2002, she was appointed Managing Director of Corus Packaging Plus and became a Member of the Board of Corus Nederland B.V. In 2004 she was appointed Managing Director Corus Strip Products IJmuiden and in 2005, she was appointed Chairperson of the Board of Corus Nederland B.V. From 2008 until May 2010, Marjan Oudeman was Executive Director of Corus Strip Product Division, Member of the Corus Group Executive Committee and Supervisory Board Member of Corus Nederland B.V.

In 2010 she continued her career at Akzo Nobel N.V. and was appointed Member of the Executive Committee of Akzo Nobel N.V. as per 1 January 2011.
