DeLaMar theatre
Theatre certainly deserves a place in ABN AMRO’s sponsorship of art and culture, which is why we are delighted to support the DeLaMar Theatre.
The newest theatre in central Amsterdam opened at the end of 2010 and presents a varied programme of drama, cabaret, musicals, family theatre and international productions. In short, something for everyone.
DeLaMar is a contemporary theatre with two auditoriums (over 1,500 seats), a Grand Café and several foyers, which can also be used for events. As well as the actual performances, audiences are treated to Janine van den Ende’s exceptional collection of photography in the theatre’s foyers, including specially commissioned work on the theme of theatre from five leading Dutch art photographers: Erwin Olaf, Viviane Sassen, Hans Eijkelboom, Cuny Janssen and Koos Breukel, each of whom has approached the theme in their own individual way.
The DeLaMar Theatre is an initiative of the VandenEnde Foundation.

Dutch Wind Ensemble (Nederlands Blazers Ensemble)
ABN AMRO has been supporting the Dutch Wind Ensemble since 2011. After all, our ‘basket of culture’ wouldn’t be complete without a strong musical element.
The Ensemble has steered its own unique path through a constantly changing cultural landscape for fully 50 years now, reflecting the spirit of the age while consistently heading off in surprising directions.
A shared passion for adventure leads the Ensemble’s musicians to create theatrical musical programmes that are always difficult to pigeonhole. They span music of every kind, tempo and era, stimulating the senses and imagination, and positively fizzing with the sheer joy of performance.
Our relationship with the Ensemble creates opportunities for the bank to receive adults and children alike at events and concerts held throughout the Netherlands.
