Michaela Mycroft wins the International Children's Peace Prize 2011
International Children’s Peace Prize
Every child has the right to be just that: a child. The KidsRights Foundation knows that, which is why it supports vulnerable youngsters and gives them a voice. As the Foundation’s social partner, ABN AMRO backs it with money, resources and people. KidsRights organises the annual International Children’s Peace Prize, given to an exceptional child whose actions have helped address problems that affect children around the world. Every year, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate presents the award in the Ridderzaal (Knight’s Hall) of the Dutch Parliament in The Hague.

Half the people infected with HIV every day are under the age of 25, which is why the international Dance4Life organisation is committed to working with young people to reduce the spread of HIV and AIDS. ABN AMRO is proud to back the efforts and commitment of the young Dutch people who work on behalf of Dance4Life.

KidsinBizz
ABN AMRO is a co-founder of this organisation, which helps identify and develop young people’s entrepreneurial abilities at an early age, for instance through its ‘Kids in Bizz’ game. The game teaches children to run their own business using real Fair Trade Original products and real money, with any profits they make going to charity.
