Sport for all

Netherlands Youth Sports Fund

Jeugd Sport Fonds
The Netherlands Youth Sports Fund believes that every child should be able to take part in sport. Its goal is to enable children from less well-off families to pursue the sport of their choice. The Fund pays club membership fees and the costs of sports gear such as football boots, up to EUR 225 a year per child. ABN AMRO provides the money to enable 100 children a year to take part in sport, and we also help the Fund raise funds and promote its goals.

Laureus Nederland

ABN AMRO is a joint founding partner of Laureus Nederland, the Dutch branch of the international Laureus organisation.  Laureus Nederland finances projects that use the power of sport to tackle a range of social problems affecting young people in the Netherlands.
Chaired by H.R.H. Prince Pieter-Christiaan of Orange, the charity enjoys the support of three committed ambassadors: Pieter van den Hoogenband, Esther Vergeer and Yvonne van Gennip.
We give support in various ways, funding the charity’s Maritime Challenge, for instance, and backing the ABN AMRO Foundation’s work to further develop Laureus Nederland.

Disabled Sports Fund

Being a ‘FairShare Partner’ of the Disabled Sports Fund means that ABN AMRO devotes 2% of its total sports sponsorship budget to disabled sports. The money goes to support disabled hockey, golf and tennis, including the ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament
