ABN AMRO offices to be Paris-proof in ten years

ABN AMRO has set itself the goal of meeting the objectives set out in the Paris climate accord by 2030 – twenty years earlier than the agreed target date. To be successful, the bank must halve its energy consumption in just ten years’ time. “The best thing about what we’re doing is we’re proving it can actually be done.”

ABN AMRO Clearing joins MEFFPower

ABN AMRO Clearing will offer clearing and settlement of trades at MEFFPower, cleared by BME Clearing. The Spanish Power derivatives market is one of the top five markets in Europe and has experienced great growth in the past decade. The maturities offered by ABN AMRO Clearing as swaps and futures will be: annual, quarter, months, weeks, week-ends and days. They can be either base load or peak load.

Tikkie and BaaS team up to service Fintechs

ABN AMRO keeps on innovating with for example: Franx, New10, Tikkie and the blockchain account (BaaS). Now 2 of these innovators, Tikkie and BaaS, are partnering together to service Fintechs.

ABN AMRO records incidental net loss of USD200 million

As a result of the unprecedented volumes and volatility in financial markets following the outbreak of COVID 19, ABN AMRO Clearing will incur a USD 250 million pretax incidental loss on one of its US clients. The net loss is approximately USD 200 million (EUR 183 million).
