Art is emotion. Art inspires. Art is original and imparts its own unique perspectives to everyday reality. The ABN AMRO art collection has been a source of inspiration for clients, visitors and employees for decades. The art collection also reflects the bank’s social engagement. By collecting, caring for and exhibiting contemporary art, irreplaceable works of art are being preserved for future generations. The contemporary art collection consists primarily of post-war works by artists who have ties to the Netherlands, as well as international accents.

The works of the collection are made available and accessible for exhibitions and loans to museums on a regular basis. They are being displayed in presentations inside and outside the bank. We have an annual award, the ABN AMRO Art Award, for talent in The Netherlands with an exhibition in the Hermitage Amsterdam. In Circl, the circular pavilion – which is open to the public – we have a permanent collection presentation and an art project space, Circl.ART, that hosts four alternating exhibitions every year. It is intended as a platform for new developments in art and aims to provide a podium that enables artists to reach a wide audience on the Zuidas.
