It's great that more and more professionals with disabilities are given the chance to blossom here.
I’m a creative spirit, with a love for language and literature and an allergy to geography. You could say that I am a less traditional bank employee. I had a brain haemorrhage just after I was born, which is why I am in a wheelchair.
Together with colleagues, I am working to give diversity an even bigger presence at ABN AMRO. I am also helping the bank to develop policy for people with physical disabilities. It's great that more and more professionals with disabilities are given the chance to blossom here.
In the weekends I provide mental coaching to sportsmen and women with various disabilities at an athletics club. For me, the most important event this year was the Paralympics. Four of my seven athletes returned with medals and six out of seven improved their personal records.
No two days are the same because I am constantly taking on new tasks and meeting new people. In the evening I carry on writing my satirical novel, about the unusual things that happen to you every day if you have a disability. It is called '50 good reasons to hate people with disabilities'.
