IT is at the heart of the bank

To fully prepare ourselves for the 21st century, we’ve begun the largest IT project in our history. Whether it’s in terms of speed, transparency or security, the demands placed on our IT landscape are high. IT is increasingly becoming our core business and is thus essential for the bank. If the systems crash, our customers can’t do anything anymore. Your work as an IT professional will have a substantial impact. Would you like to help us build the bank of the future?

Your own responsibility straightaway

From day one, you’ll be given lots of responsibility as well as room to take initiative. On our IT graduate starter programme, you’ll be offered a fixed post for two years, during which you’ll combine work with training courses and training exercises. You won’t begin by fetching coffee; you’ll get straight down to work. We value fresh perspectives and creativity. Even though you may be straight out of university, you can monitor everything that’s going on, and colleagues will ask for your opinion. Furthermore, at ABN AMRO you really do get the opportunity to develop yourself.

“We are future-proofing our entire IT landscape by making a clean sweep of our systems on the one hand and building up everything anew on the other. I know of no other bank that is investing as much in a new IT system as ABN AMRO.”
