As Business Developer you have earned your stripes within a certain expertise and you are recognised for it. You are part of a multi-disciplinary team of Business and IT staff (called Block) to realise the goals of your product cluster (called Grid). Together with your colleagues in other Blocks with the same expertise you form Circles to continuously improve this expertise and set the quality standard. Your job

Your job involves a combination of change management aspects such as new business development, project and portfolio management. You have a good understanding of what drives the business, the IT infrastructure, risk & regulatory challenges, and innovation in financial markets. Within the Grid and Block you have end-to-end responsibility for the required changes; from ideation to implementation.

Your working environment

The Global Markets business is an integral part of the growth strategy of the Corporate & Institutional bank where innovation, digital transformation and international expansion are the key strategic pillars. We experiment with concepts around e-Trading, Block Chain, artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics. Within Global Markets you will work in the Agile Grid Transfer (Equities, Securities Financing, Market Data, and Regulatory Reporting) responsible for the change and continuous improvement of the run activities of the Global Markets value chains. The Grids consist of circa 13-15 blocks of around 6-10 people all with a specific purpose.

Your profile

You enjoy combining think-work with execution. You understand stakeholder’s needs and are able to translate these into tangible actions. You lead by example when it comes to our Cultural Principles. Client focus is the primary driver for your day to day work. In your development you strive for a T-shaped profile: you can teach others on your expertise (depth) and learn from others from theirs (breadth). We are looking for seasoned professionals with a minimum of 8 years work experience, preferably in financial markets. Check your profile: 

  • Higher educational background (WO) 
  • 8+ years of working experience 
  • Skills to analyse a complex problem, identify solutions options and present your advice to stakeholders in a convincing way
  • Interest and/or experience in innovation (e.g. Robotics, AI, Blockchain, Data Science, etc.)
  • Strong interest in IT 
  • Experience with (scaled) Agile way of working (preferably) 
  • Knowledge of financial markets and its clients base, products and services 
  • Experience with process management, business analysis and portfolio management 
  • The right attitude towards collaboration, exploration and getting-things-done
