At a glance

The Commercial Department CF consists of Sales (Business Development Managers), Relationship Management, Asset Management and Commercial Support. The Sales team is responsible for new business development, predominantly via introducers. The Relationship Managers nurture the relationship with existing customers and support the Sales team on new transactions. The Asset Managers are responsible for monitoring the assets in the facilities with customers. The Commercial Support team supports both the Sales team and the Relationship Managers. The Commercial Department is also responsible for KYC activities.

 

Commercial Support’s core functions are:

 

  • Support function to the Sales team and ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance’s client base
  • Documenting and executing client transactions
  • Ensuring all client transactions are executed in line with Credit approval and local policies and procedures

 

Commercial Support will also undertake a number of general functions in support of the wider business / Head of Commercial support, as and when required.

Your job

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Sales, Risk, Audit) to ensure the accurate and timely documenting and execution of new transactions to ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance’s client base
  • Liaise with external stakeholders (Lawyers, Prospects) to ensure the accurate and timely documenting and execution of new transactions to ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance’s client base
  • Responsibility for ensuring all new transactions are executed in line with Credit approval and local policies and procedures, ensuring any issues are flagged and dealt with ahead of transaction close
  • Manage pipeline and internal MI data to assist with workload prioritisation
  • Promote and champion adherence to policies and procedures
  • Play an active role in developing and improving policies, procedures and the processes
  • Support and assist the UK team as workload dictates
  • Complete other duties and special projects assigned by Head of Commercial Support or Commercial Managers
  • Work independently and as part of a deal team as and when required
  • Demonstrate and promote high level of customer service, team work and risk management

Your profile

  • A level (or equivalent education)
  • Degree level education is preferable but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of asset finance / structured finance / corporate banking market, products and activities
  • Experience in general risk management and working to complex processes and procedures
  • Experience of direct client interaction, ideally in a similar role
  • Highly motivated and ambitious, with high energy levels and ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • Eagerness to learn and self-develop
  • Solution driven, pro-active and with a can-do mentality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meat deadlines
