Your job

The services of ABN AMRO Clearing are subject to intensive national and international regulation and supervision as ABN AMRO Clearing has been designated as systemically important with respect to the securities domain. As such it is closely monitored by Regulators and Central Banks and being in control is therefore critical with regards to all AAC processes. ABN AMRO Clearing holds significant market shares in financial markets across the globe holding top spots in clearing on numerous exchanges in every region, clearing anything from 10 to 20 million trades per day. Being a global 24x7 business, English is the primary language. Since April 2011, ABN AMRO Clearing has been designated as a mono-line company within ABN AMRO and has held its own banking license since 2004 (ABN AMRO Clearing Bank NV). ABN AMRO Clearing has roughly 800 FTE globally and is self-sufficient and has its own supporting organization. ABN AMRO Clearing Commerce has a global focus and is divided into three regional organizations: Region Europe, Region USA and Region Asia-Pacific. The AAC Commerce department has to ensure the ability of ABN AMRO Clearing to continuously expands its products and services portfolio, its markets and its markets shares and to enhance competitiveness of the global, regional and local organization and companies.

As a Commercial Support Officer you will be responsible for realizing the formal administration, documentation and internal liaison for on-boarding and exit transfers of current and new clients and (new) clients business, all this in accordance with AAC policy and procedures. The Commercial Support Officer seeks to strike a balance in the interests of the customer and the bank. Furthermore you will coordinate and monitor the obligatory periodical reviews of client files to ensure that due diligence has been performed and the required Bank standards are complied with. You will be responsible for client data entry in the CRM system ‘Salesforce’ with a key focus on data quality (creating and maintaining accurate data). As a Commercial Support Officer you will provide effective support to the Relationship Managers and collaborate with the Commercial Support teams in each region.

Your working environment

You will work at the ABN headquarters at the Gustav Mahlerlaan, Amsterdam. The Commercial Support team in Amsterdam is currently staffed with 4 people and works closely together with the Commercial Support teams in Europe, US and APAC.  

Your profile
  • Knowledge of business economics and commerce at a bachelors level.
  • Knowledge of the regional financial markets and of the administrative, legal and operational requirements servicing trading companies clearing financial assets classes
  • Knowledge of the Clearing industry, processes and partners.
  • Knowledge of  KYC/CDD and relevant work experience in a client facing environment
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in the financial industry
  • Communicates with relevant regional and local AAC departments to exchange information about customers fulfilling formal and administrative conditions for on boarding new customers or customers services.
  • Communicates with, explains procedures and exchanges information with customers for fulfilling formal and administrative conditions for on boarding the customers or the new customers services.
  • Communicates with relationships managers and delivery managers about planning and workflow on boarding customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
