Then we are looking for you to be our new colleague within the Document & Record Management (DRM) teams of ABN AMRO.

DRM is part of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) department. Within the ECM domain all client communication of our approx. 6 million clients is streamlined and archived. DRM delivers functionalities that are used by departments throughout the whole bank while taking into account legislations as the new AVG and for example GDPR.

Your job

Within DRM there are currently several key activities to get involved with. You will be working on tech like building new functionalities in Java, working with programs as MongoDB, Marklogic, Hortonworks and Nuxeo. Simultaneously you will have active discussions with stakeholders to connect them to our BASE platform, and regarding the migration of their current client documents.

You will be interacting with the whole organization from business lines to other development blocks & grids; Innovate, experiment and help with setting up new technologies; Structure and organize our code in a way that makes it sustainable and easy to change. The ECM domain is currently one of the top priorities of our Executive Committee. Therefore there is an unique opportunity for innovation and change!

Your working environment

Your working environment will consist of a small agile team (6-9 persons) that work together in an Agile / Devops environment. Here you will be able to use the latest technology solutions at the heart of the value-assets of the organization, in constant collaboration with all business lines. All of this happens in an informal atmosphere with plenty of room for fun. The floor boosts an active learning atmosphere. You’re invited to try, make mistakes, learn from them and improve.

Your profile

  • You have strong Java and IT skills, such as Service Oriented Architecture / Web Services – SOAP / REST, Markup Languages like XML and JSON, experience with JIRA, SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins and GIT
  • You are familiar with the latest open source developments in your area of expertise
  • You are able to not only suggest and design solutions, but you are also able to put them into practice immediately by developing them yourself. 
  • Eagerness to design and create innovative and sustainable Enterprise Search solutions.
  • You have an exploratory mindset, always looking for new developments.
  • An education in Computer Science, Information Science, Econometrics, Mathematics or Computer Science related fields.
  • HBO/WO level
  • Fluent in English and/or Dutch. 
  • And of course, mind-blowing foosball, nine-ball or ping pong skills
