Are you interested in a career in the complex and fast developing world of financial institutions? Your role in the FI team will put you in pole position to understand regulation, allow you to work together with talented colleagues in the areas of capital market solutions, M&A, DCM & ECM, Specialized Lending and Cash Management. But also interact with ALM/Treasury and Risk and work on preparations and briefings for Managing Board/ExCo meetings.

Your job

ABN AMRO Financial Institutions Coverage is responsible for the helicopter view and the overall relationship with Financial institutions, such as banks, insurers or investment- and pension funds in Europe, North America, Australia/New Zealand and Japan. Through close cooperation with the various product specialists within the bank as mentioned above, we proactively offer an integrated solution to our clients.

 

Your contribution?

  • Dive in to market developments and do company researches
  • Work closely with different teams within the bank to tailor the best solution approach for our client
  • Work on client pitches with an integrated product approach
  • Prepare client visits and develop industry knowledge

Your working environment

The whole Financial Institutions department consist of approximately 65 FTE. You will join the Dutch Coverage team which has 8 (senior) coverage bankers, two more junior bankers, accompanied by one or two interns, of which you will be one. Next to a presence in our Amsterdam office, the Financial Institutions coverage team has a presence in London, Paris and Frankfurt. The team is characterized by an open and flat structure. Each of the Bankers is responsible for its own client group and/or region, and you will support them in the day-to-day activities in your during your 5 / 6 month internship.

Your profile

We are looking for a bright and ambitious student. Somebody that wants to be on top of market developments. Somebody with a can-do mentality that is prepared to go the extra step and is willing to work outside the 9-6 hours. But foremost, somebody that can challenge us and that has fun in his job.

  • You can work accurately, independently and have a commercial drive
  • University education (preferably master) in the area of finance or economics
  • Relevant extracurricular activities
  • Fluent in (Dutch and) English is a must!
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Some knowledge on valuations and capital structures
