Your job

The Clearing Contracting Unit is a specialised team dedicated to and responsible for all agreements entered into between AACB and its clients. This includes master contracts, credit agreements, security documents, NDA’s, guarantees and additional legal documentation. Your tasks consist of the review, drafting, negotiating and processing of such agreements. These may cover billions in liability and require you to use your knowledge of a multiplicity of areas of law, besides excellent communication and negotiation skills. You are responsible for achieving the best outcome from a legal perspective, but also for liaising with several stakeholders in order to ensure that the operational, commercial and risk perspectives are taken into account. In doing so, you are encouraged to share your knowledge as much as possible and present yourself as a sparring partner for the various departments.

Your working environment

You will be located at the AACB headquarters in Amsterdam as part of a small team within Clearing Europe Risk. Since you will be working together with colleagues and clients from around the globe, English is the primary language.

Your profile & skills

Are you the legal professional who combines pragmatic problem-solving skills with accuracy and eye for detail? Our ideal candidate is passionate about law while also interested in financial markets, and loves to read, write and debate. 

  • Masters degree (Dutch law)
  • 1-3 years relevant work experienceStrong communication skills, verbally as well as in writing

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
