 ABF provides Leasing and Commercial Finance/Asset Based Lending solutions to customers in all segments: SME, corporates and large corporates including international clients. In the Netherlands this is mainly to ABN AMRO clients, in other countries this is mainly to non ABN AMRO clients. In the smaller end of the segments, the focus in on having a digital offering, with standardised and harmonised products and processes. In the larger segments, the focus is on a coverage model, with a modular product offering that allows for bespoke solutions.
 Sales Support is a part of ABN AMRO Lease UK and reports up into the Commercial Director of ABN AMRO Lease UK via the Head of Sales Support.
 Sales Support’s core functions are:
 

  • Support function to the sales team and ABN AMRO Lease UK’s client base.
  • Documenting and executing client transactions.
  • Ensuring all client transactions are executed in line with Credit approval and local policies and procedures.


Sales Support will also undertake a number of general functions in support of the wider business / Head of Sales Support, as and when required

Your job

  • Liaise with external stakeholders (brokers / clients) to ensure the accurate and timely documenting and execution of new transactions to ABN AMRO Lease UK’s client base.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Credit, Legal, Sales, Service Centre, NL central functions) to facilitate and manage the accurate and timely completion of new transactions to ABN AMRO Lease UK’s client base.
  • Responsibility for ensuring all new transactions are executed in line with Credit approval and local policies and procedures, ensuring any issues are flagged and dealt with ahead of transaction close.
  • Help sales to manage and maintain client / broker relationships by undertaking tasks as required; to potentially include (as required, but not limited to); liaising directly with clients / brokers / suppliers / external advisors, data gathering, pricing, liaising with internal stakeholders, attending client meetings, acting as a subject matter expert to all stakeholders.
  • Work with Service Centre to ensure accurate transaction data is input into core systems.
  • Manage and facilitate ad hoc customer/broker queries.
  • Manage and facilitate ad hoc internal stakeholder queries.
  • Manage pipeline and internal MI data to assist workload prioritisation.
  • Promote and champion adherence to policies and procedures
  • Play an active role in developing and improving policies and procedures.
  • Support and assist UK team as workload dictates
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by Head of Sales Support.
  • Work independently and as part of a deal team as and when required
  • Demonstrate and promote high levels or customer service, team work, and risk management.

ABN AMRO UK is part of the Corporate Banking business line and operates the following businesses in the UK: 

  • Corporate and Institutional Banking – which includes  Corporate Banking, Clearing Global Markets - Sales & Trading, Escrow & Settlement, and Financial Institutions
  • Commercial Banking which includes Asset Based Finance and International Desk, which provides transactional banking services
     

Our business lines are supported by a number of functions such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, IT, Finance (Including Tax), Business Management and Human Resources. We currently employ approx. 380 individuals in the UK.

Your profile

  • A level (or equivalent) education
  • Degree level education is preferable but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of asset finance / structured finance / corporate banking market, products and activities
  • Experience in general risk management and working to complex processes and procedures.
  • Experience of direct client interaction, ideally in a similar role
  • Experience in a financial institution
  • Highly motivated and ambitious, with high energy levels and ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • Eagerness to learn and self-develop
  • Solution driven, pro-active and with a can-do mentality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
