The Supplier Manager is responsible for the acquisition, selection and monitoring performance of suppliers for AACB IT, in order to select those suppliers that provide the best value for AACB and to receive the service level what is agreed upon.

Your job

You are going to work in a small team of skilled professionals. You will act as SPOC for AACB IT and Business departments when suppliers play part in IT delivery. On the other side you are AACB’s face to the suppliers. This can be consultancy, hard- and software related as well as for RUN or CHANGE activities. Besides your internal AACB focus you will also make sure AACB complies to policy when sourcing IT. To support you in that you will interact pro-actively with other ABN AMRO departments, i.e.  Procurement and Legal. Management of the contract lifecycle of the different IT products is a central part of your work.Also part of your weekly routine is interacting with ABN AMRO Purchase to Pay and AACB Cost Accounting to run a smoothly operational purchasing process. We expect you to keep up with and report on the impact, TCO and risk profile in general,  on existing contracts due to ongoing changes in used technology, licensing metrics and external factors (i.e. DNB and ECB regulations for third parties).For specific suppliers, labelled ‘key‘ and ‘preferred’, you are the owner of setting up and execute the proper cross level governance model.

ABN AMRO Clearing is designated as a specialized business unit within ABN AMRO and holds its own banking license (ABN AMRO Clearing Bank NV). ABN AMRO Clearing IT has a global focus with a variety of programs on both national and global level. The organisation is self-supporting, running its own applications and hosting them from its own data centres across the globe. Management of IT suppliers is organized with a focus on rationalization and centralisation. Cooperation and alignment between regions, EU-USA-APAC, is pro-actively managed.AACB is organized to support an Agile working delivery model. Interacting with IT Grid Owner, IT Delivery Manager, IT Engineering leads and IT Product Owners form a daily activity in this role.To support agility there is a continuous focus on digitalize operational processes. Applications like Jira and Wiki are fully adopted.

Your profile

Are you crazy for IT suppliers? We are looking for a proactive professional with an IT Supplier Management (i.e. contract-, vendor- or procurement management) background. Beside the topics mentioned in the Job Profile, check below:

  • Academic or HBO work and thinking level
  • Tangible experience in managing IT contracts and IT suppliers (> 8 years and contracts > 1,5 MIO)
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
  • Hands on mentality
