At ABN AMRO you can do what you genuinely enjoy and create the space to grow.
Have I always wanted to work for the bank? Actually, for a long time I thought I wouldn’t fit in! After completing my Master’s degree in Culture Organisation Management at VU University, I joined the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations as a Trainee. Following this fun and educational time, I wanted to gain experience in the commercial sector.
Together with my colleagues, I review the daily banking processes and analyse how to make improvements and implement changes. I work on several projects at the same time, from designing sustainability processes to giving workshops on process improvement. You’re given a lot of responsibility here, and that motivates me enormously. An additional benefit of working for ABN AMRO is the focus on personal development and ambitions. It allows you to create the space to grow within the bank and to do what you genuinely enjoy.
My motto is ‘work hard, play hard’. Health and enjoyment are key. I run, work out and do yoga. I also like to cook, but especially to eat good food. For relaxation, I watch films and series. I love to travel and try to go somewhere special once a year.
The projects I work on are very diverse, and I am constantly working with different people and departments. I am currently working on a project focusing on process improvement. Every day is different, and that’s what makes my job fun and challenging.
