When you work for the bank, you never stop learning.
I joined ABN AMRO seven years ago as a Private Clients Adviser. I then spent three years as an Account Manager at Preferred Banking. I now have a new challenge at IT: Business Analyst at Accounts.
I am part of a very close and motivated team here, just as I was in my previous positions. ABN AMRO is a big company, but my team has always felt like family. We help and encourage each other, and sometimes share our ups and downs. We regularly go for a drink or meal together. I have made some great friends here.
I love to travel: from America to the Philippines and everything in between. Or a weekend in Barcelona with friends, for instance, to watch a football game or just enjoy the city. I am a running enthusiast as well – relaxation through exercise! In 2014, I ran the Amsterdam marathon.
My friends say I never stop at the finish line, and that is reflected in my working life too. I knew nothing about banking when I first joined ABN AMRO. I have learned a lot via internal and external training, but I learn most by constantly immersing myself in the day-to-day material. I basically started from scratch again at IT. So: when you work for the bank, you never stop learning.
