ABN AMRO CEO Mark Fisher to leave in 2009

ABN AMRO Holdings N.V. (ABN AMRO) announces today that Mark Fisher, Chairman of the Managing Board of ABN AMRO will be leaving the Group during 2009 to pursue a new career opportunity.


The timing of his departure will be aligned with the progress of the transition of ABN AMRO into its new ownership under the consortium, including the Dutch Government.

Commenting on the change Arthur Martinez, Chairman of the Supervisory Board said: "The Supervisory Board would like to thank Mark for his leadership of ABN AMRO since the takeover by the Consortium in October 2007. The separation of ABN AMRO remains on track to meet the milestones set out for 2009 and we wish Mark well for the future. "
