Starting this week, retail and business customers of ABN AMRO will receive information on the bank’s new fees for payment services as from 1 January 2015.
As from 1 January 2015, the Privé Pakket will cost EUR 3.25 per month (currently EUR 3.10 per month). Higher fees will be charged for a number of payment services and some of the conditions will change – mainly removal of the conditions for the Chipknip. As from 1 January 2015, a business current account will cost EUR 5.50 per month (currently EUR 5 per month). ABN AMRO wants to promote the use of digital payment services, which is why it is raising the fees for a number of labour-intensive payment services and for which there is a digital alternative. The fee for the online service ‘Ideal Only’ will be reduced from EUR 15 to EUR 10 per month. Fees for PIN payments will remain unchanged. The bank is adjusting its fees so that it can continue to invest in product and service development and in the security of its services. In addition to the annual general price increases, new legislation and regulations have driven up costs.
