Today ABN AMRO presents the Financing Compass. With this online tool, businesses in the SME sector are just a few clicks away from discovering what forms of financing best suit their financing needs.
ABN AMRO believes that this tool will help businesses become successful and improve their understanding of the possibilities for raising money: not only traditional loans, but also alternative sources of financing – for example crowdfunding, informal investors and credit unions – involving both the bank and other parties.
Business owners visiting www.abnamro.nl/financieringskompas answer a series of questions and within two minutes receive an explanation of the most suitable forms of financing. They receive an overview that shows at a glance to what extent the various forms suit their business’s financing needs. The business owner can then directly access information about the options and view details about the financing forms. This additional information is interesting to business owners, who often find themselves overwhelmed by the number of possibilities available and need help familiarising themselves with their options. If the business owner wishes, ABN AMRO provides an explanation in person: the Financing Compass includes the option of contacting a specialist directly.
“ABN AMRO wishes to guide business owners through the maze created by the increasing numbers of financing forms. The Financing Compass has been introduced to help us achieve this goal. Although the bank can generally offer suitable financing, it cannot provide the best solution in all situations. We also seek to help business owners even if a bank loan is not an option. The Financing Compass helps us show business owners that bank loans are only one of the possibilities, and that we can offer input about alternative forms of financing. Our intention is to help businesses navigate the entire playing field,” explains Ruut Meijer, Director of Corporate Clients at ABN AMRO.
