The first ABN AMRO Social Involvement Award has been won by OVG Real Estate. The award was presented at real estate meeting point Provada in the RAI convention centre in Amsterdam, in recognition of a programme developed in partnership with the Dutch Heart Foundation to install one or more automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in every building owned or developed by OVG Real Estate. An AED is a portable resuscitation device used to treat cardiac arrest. OVG Real Estate also organises training sessions to teach its tenants how to use the devices properly.
Investing in social engagement
"ABN AMRO wants to make the world a better place. Many of our business relations feel the same way, and invest in social engagement. The ABN AMRO Social Involvement Award was introduced as an incentive, as a way to reward parties on the real estate market who invent creative ways to use their properties to help bring about a better world," explains Robert van Deelen, Managing Director of Real Estate at ABN AMRO. "We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to OVG Real Estate on winning this award. This extraordinary project will help the Dutch Heart Foundation achieve its mission of turning the Netherlands into one huge 6-minute zone: to save lives by making sure that, no matter where, everything necessary can be done within 6 minutes if someone suffers a cardiac arrest."
