Van Slingelandt appointed to ABN AMRO Supervisory Board

Mr van Slingelandt has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Group N.V. and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. with effect from 27 October 2010.

Hessel Lindenbergh, chairman of the Supervisory Board: “We are pleased that Mr. van Slingelandt has joined the Supervisory Board. I am confident that he will use his extensive experience in the financial services sector to make a valuable contribution to the growth of ABN AMRO.”

After obtaining a degree in Business Economics from the University of Groningen, Mr van Slingelandt joined the Nationale Investeringsbank in 1971. He went on to become Treasurer at Rijn Schelde Verolme and CFO of Verolme Estaleiros in Brazil. Mr van Slingelandt was CFO of Rodamco from 1985 to 1989. Mr van Slingelandt embarked on his career at Rabobank in 1989. He was chairman of Rabobank International from 1989 to 1996 and served on the Rabobank Executive Board from 1996 to 2006. Mr van Slingelandt was chairman of the Supervisory Board of KAS Bank from 2006 to 2010.
