ABN AMRO Private Banking has been named 'Best European Private Bank for Domestic Clients' in the inaugural awards of Wealth Briefing, the global wealth management news and information service.
The bank was chosen from a shortlist including BNP Paribas Wealth Management and Societe Generale Private Banking, by a judging panel comprising senior executives of international private banks, industry consultants and Wealth Briefing editorial staff. The awards were announced at an industry gathering in London last night.
ABN AMRO Private Banking's international operations include a network of respected domestic private banks: ABN AMRO MeesPierson in the Netherlands, Bethmann Bank in Germany and Neuflize OBC in France, which are in all cases amongst the oldest institutions in their home market and with a leading position today.
Jeroen Rijpkema, CEO of ABN AMRO Private Banking International, said: "This award confirms that the industry is recognising the success of our domestic private banking strategy across multiple markets in Europe. The essence of our strategy is to offer domestic private banking services through strong and well established local brands in Europe, supported by a well integrated global network, encompassing amongst others also our growing franchise in Asia."
Tom Burroughes, Group Editor of ClearView Financial Media which publishes Wealth Briefing, said: "The judges were impressed by several features of ABN AMRO Private Banking‟s submission and its record in delivering a high quality wealth management service in several countries.
