Today ABN AMRO presented the very first Trotskoffer (‘bags of pride’) cases to pupils of primary school De Koekoek in Utrecht. Trotskoffer is the first element of a talent programme (currently still being piloted) for primary school pupils in groups 1 to 8.
ABN AMRO will continue to be the main sponsor of the Richard Krajicek Foundation through 2016. Richard Krajicek established his Foundation more than seventeen years ago after being honoured as Wimbledon champion. Ernst Boekhorst (Head of Sponsoring & Events and Director of ABN AMRO Foundation), Joris Hermsen (Sponsor Manager at ABN AMRO) and Richard Krajicek signed the new sponsorship agreement on 10 October.
ABN AMRO will be the partner for the Uitmarkt in 2014 and 2015. With some 500,000 visitors every year, the Uitmarkt is the biggest free cultural festival in the Netherlands and traditionally kicks off the start of the cultural season. This year the Uitmarkt will be held from Friday 29 August to Sunday 31 August in the Museumplein and Leidseplein neighbourhoods of Amsterdam. The agreement consists of intensive collaboration plus a financial contribution making the Uitmarkt possible. Both parties have expressed their intention to work together for the coming years.
