ABN AMRO has made it to the banking sector top 5% in RobecoSAM's Sustainability Yearbook, which was published today. The bank received the Silver Class award for its sustainability achievements. The survey is held by RobecoSAM, a research institute that assesses more than 3,000 listed companies each year on their economic, social and environmental performance.
Repayment app Tikkie now has over two million unique users. That is double the figure of August 2017, when the app passed the one million users mark. With a weekly average of 440,000 payment requests, Tikkie is by far the biggest app of its kind in the Netherlands.

ABN AMRO is taking the next step in testing new wearables as a payment method with 500 of its clients. After prior successful internal tests in 2017, clients can now experience what it's like to make contactless payments with a ring, watch, bracelet or keyring. ABN AMRO is the first bank to enable worldwide payment with a wearable that's linked to a current account. As from today, sign-ups are open for clients to participate in a four-month pilot. In exchange for providing the wearables, the bank requests feedback through an app, so the client experience can be continuously optimised while the pilot is ongoing.
