Junior Financial Institutions Debt Capital Markets (FI DCM) originator

We are looking for a junior Financial Institutions Debt Capital Markets (FI DCM) originator who will support senior DCM originators mainly focusing on Bank and Insurance clients in North Western Europe.  Within this job you are client facing and together with the other team members you’ll give best advice on client’s funding and capital needs.  We are a rapidly growing team in terms of revenues and expanding clients and transactions within ABN AMRO, as such are looking for a pro-active and keen to learn professional with a hands-on mentality who are willing to run the extra mile.

  1. Secured Debt (RMBS, CMBS, warehouse facilities, ABS, etc). From the secured debt team, the team is also involved in a number of fund initiatives. Additionally, we offer financing advice to Real Estate and consumer finance asset portfolio acquiring parties.
  2. Hybrid Capital, Subordinated debt and Liability Management services.
  3. Sustainable Finance. Within the team we advise clients how to best attract Green or Sustainable Financing against sustainable assets or activities.

Your job

Together with other Specialist teams, you take part in analyzing bank and insurance sector themes and balance sheets, you will pin-point to possible funding or capitalization issues that are derived from that analysis, and subsequently you assist in preparing client pitches and executing products tailored to specific needs from our client base. You will be operating in a heavily regulated sector in which applicable regulations are constantly evolving. Keeping abreast of the ever changing landscape is a steep but extremely interesting task. You will map all applicable Debt Capital Market dynamics and will advise clients on a joint basis with colleagues in other departments (e.g. Coverage, Sales, Syndicate, Trading).

The FI DCM team consists of 10 people mixed between senior and junior team members. The team radiates energy and has a total dedication to clients and product expertise. In general on live transactions, the deal team consists of 2 direct team members (one seniro & one junior). Our team is based predominantly in Amsterdam but we also operate from our Frankfurt office. We enjoy a great team spirit and help colleagues where needed and possible.

Your profile

You are an undisputed team player, quick thinker and loves a challenge. You are a pro-active individual who loves to take on a new initiative and is prepared for a very steep learning curve which will enable you to compete for strategic transactions issued by our core FI clients in North Western Europe. When involved in the product side of our team, your product skill will enable client originators to excel in front of clients and in live deal situations.

Your profile:
- Affiliation with (debt) capital markets

- 2-4yr work experience, preferably in Banking

- Strong analytical skills

- Good work mentality

- Maintain relationships both internally as well as externally

- Good knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint

- Extremely strong communication skills
