CIO Private Banking and Corporate & Institutional Banking (PB & CIB) is mainly responsible for IT delivery for the Business Lines Private Banking and Corporate & Institutional Banking and underlying Grids. This includes developing and maintaining applications for these business lines. Examples of these activities within PB & CIB relate to the following areas of responsibility/domains: Core Banking, Channels, Global Markets, Investments and Advice. PB & CIB is also responsible for overarching IT services that go beyond the individual Grids and Business Lines, focusing on technical IT issues and on development (innovation) within the ABN AMRO organization.Within this CIO, the CIO Private Banking Investments and Advice, is the organisation responsible for their IT delivery for the Grids Investments and Advice, both in NL as well as for International offices.What do you see when you envision the next step? Your job

Responsible for leading an organisation towards delivery sustainable IT solutions for the Grids Investments and Advice in line with the applicable standards, within the set parameters (time and money) in order to meet the business requirements and help achieve the business strategy.

Your working environment

The IT Engineering Lead is a generic role which occurs in several entities within I&T. The IT Engineering Lead provides leadership to several Agile IT delivery teams (Blocks) for one or more Grids forming part of one or more Business Lines. The IT Engineering Lead role is situated in a context in which IT itself is the business, and is responsible in this context for the delivery of new technology and resources to support the IT value chain.The IT Engineering Lead participates in the Delivery Domain MT. In addition, the IT Engineering Lead engages with the Product Owner(s) working in the Grid.The activities take place both in NL as well as in an international context. The IT Engineering Lead operates in an ever more rapidly changing environment, and must accordingly know, understand and be able to deploy new emerging technologies.The complexity of the role lies in a number of factors:(1)   Striking the right balance between short-term delivery of IT solutions requested by the Business and delivering these solutions in accordance with the IT architecture and other standards in a way which secures the long-term focus.
(2)   Managing capacity within the present financial parameters. If the Business Line requests more than the available capacity can deliver, making this transparent and negotiating on it.
(3)   Stakeholder management vis-à-vis Product Owners within the Grid in order to gear the teaming to the requirements of the Business and explain how the requirements of the Business are met.

Your profile

• Knowledge of financial services and the banking sector
• Knowledge of internal HR and business processes, planning & control, risk control, facility management, accounting, contract management, etc.
• Knowledge of business principles and how complex organisations function.
• Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) and Lean methods.
• Knowledge of IT architecture, IT departments, process configuration and process management.
• Knowledge of the main IT systems and how they contribute to meeting the business requirements.
• Knowledge of Demand & Capacity Management.
• Knowledge of software development techniques, IT Deployment and Test & Release Management.
• Knowledge and experience of operating in a (multi-vendor) IT-outsourced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant applications and infrastructure within own area of responsibility.
• Knowledge of the business of the field of activity for which he/she is responsible (Retail, PB, CB or Functions).
• Knowledge of current IT trends both within and outside own area of responsibility (Cloud, API, Open Banking, DevOps, CI/CD, SOA, etc.).
