The Technology Lab is the technical heart of Group Innovation. The developers in this team explore new technological developments and experiment with them, to actively contribute to the most promising propositions and business models. At the moment those experiments include the topics: IoT, Robotics and Quantum Technology.

Your job

As a Development Engineer you are constantly looking for promising technologies and test their maturity and applicability by conducting experiments.  You will support the various Group Innovation teams in finding innovative technical solutions for the future products, services and partnerships ABN AMRO wants. You will also spar with your colleague Development Engineers and share your technical programming knowledge and competencies with them.

Your working environment

The team consists of young, eager professionals. In Agile teams you research the newest technologies in sprints, researching the newest technologies and building inspiring prototypes. In a 'sandbox', you can experiment with the newest hard- and software.

Your profile
  • Your development skills are excellent and you have relevant experience with the newest front-end frameworks. You are also comfortable with back-end work.
  • With your team and stakeholder you strive to find future proof solutions.
  • You are eager to learn and can easily apply new technologies.
  • You feel motivated to stay up to date on your various areas of expertise.
  • You thrive in a small team but are also fine with working on your tasks individually.
  • You easily present the team’s results to a wide range of (internal) stakeholders.
  • You prioritise and plan your work. You pro-actively share your planned approach and expect to receive feedback as readily as you give it to others.
  • You feel responsible for delivering the common tasks assigned to your team according to the structure and guidelines agreed upon.
  • You effectively manage and build on your relationships with partners, stakeholders and (team)colleagues.

Check your profile

  • Minimal required education and work level: University of applied sciences (Bachelor’s degree/HBO)
  • Relevant and proven experience with (front-end) development
  • Professional communication level, both spoken and written, in the Dutch and English language
  • Team-player
  • You have the hands-on approach that is needed to get things done in a small team
  • Knowledge of agile is preferred.
