Facilitate AAC APACs Business Continuity. Be a natural counterparty for coordination matters related to Control functions like Legal, Audit, Risk, Compliance and central Operational Risk Control. Functionally report to Head of Operational Risk Control APAC.1.2.           KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate Business Continuity Management within the AAC APAC entities in line with AACB-Group and AAB Business Continuity Policies.
  • Manage operational risk throughout the region for the different locations. Support relevant Management Team/Risk Committee meetings and follow up on the outcome.
  • Manage Operational Risk Control Reporting of relevant information to local, APAC and Global Committees
  • Coordinate the periodic review of Processes, Procedures, Risks and Controls of line 1 departments within AAC APAC
  • Support in the regional RSA/CRSA activities in coordination with Regional Risk Management (ORM).
  • Manage process improvement and support activities for the different departments and entities.
  • Respond and evaluate to incidents occurring as a result of control failures within AAC APAC, focusing on root cause and positive outcomes.
  • Consult with departments on appropriate procedures and controls for new processes, systems, and products and advise.
  • Closely work together with Compliance and Legal to optimize the local regulatory requirements within the Control Framework of the AAC APAC entities.
  • Be available for ad hoc requests in the scope of Operational Risk Control.
  • Follow up (tracking and monitoring) on issues for the APAC region and work together with respective parties in APAC to have the open issues formally closed. This relates to internal and external parties such as Group Audit, KPMG and regulatory bodies.
  • Initiate and coordinate periodic reviews.
  • Pro-actively seek and initiate improvements.

 Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Recognised Degree
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant risk management experience
  • Good understanding of process analysis and controls issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
