Sponsorship

Many initiatives in society can only be realised with outside financial support. As a major international bank, ABN AMRO is frequently asked to sponsor projects.

However, in line with the integration of the ABN AMRO businesses around the world, sponsorship is no longer provided on Group level. To find out what sponsorship opportunities are available at our consortium partner RBS, please visit their sponsorship webpage.

Sponsorship is primarily a commercial means of realising our communications objectives. These objectives include enhancing brand recognition, contributing towards our corporate identity and providing a platform for marketing activities.

Through sponsorship, we aim to demonstrate our involvement in the interests of our target groups as a 'good corporate citizen'. This has led to our association with a large number of projects.

We have had long-standing associations within the areas of spectator sports and culture. Most projects, some of which we have sponsored for years, are within these priority areas. In our choices, we have sought projects that are in line with the core values of our brand and our Corporate Values.

We don't sponsor:

  • projects of a political or religious nature
  • study trips or celebrations
  • individuals
