Japan’s financial centre is the one of the largest in the world. The ABN AMRO Clearing Tokyo office opened in 2007, and has become the number one clearer on the OSE with about 40% of market share. There is also a growing market position on the TSE as well. ABN AMRO Clearing Tokyo employs around fifteen people who serve our international clients across five Departments - Finance, Operations, IT, Commercial, and Compliance. Our clients trading in Japan are proprietary trading companies. A majority of ABN AMRO Clearing’s clients who trade the Japanese markets are based outside of Japan.
Working in Japan
Japan is a unique country, where modern technologies and old traditions exist side by side in a fine balance. Japan has many things in common with Asia, but in other ways resembles Europe or even the United States. ABN AMRO Clearing Tokyo’s employees are very internationalised. All employees, both Japanese and non-Japanese, speak Japanese and English fluently. The ABN AMRO Clearing Tokyo office is located five minutes’ walk from the iconic Tokyo Tower, right in the beating heart of the city.
