ABN AMRO Bank N.V. announces intended appointment of external auditor As part of the preparation for integration of ABN AMRO Bank N.V and Fortis Bank (Nederland) N.V., the intention exists to propose to the shareholder to appoint KPMG as the external auditor for the financial audit of the new group, including the new combined bank and all its' subsidiaries. This intention is based on a tender process, which has been executed in the last months, for an external audit assignment of 3 years.
The proposed appointment will be done on the moment that ABN AMRO Group N.V. will own the shares in both ABN ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Fortis Bank (Nederland) N.V. It is expected that this will be the case in April 2010, under condition of the required approvals.
