ABN AMRO continues to strengthen its Financial Institutions business with the appointment of Ian Haywood as Head of Banks for the UK and Ireland within the Financial Institutions UK team.

Jonathan Greenwood, Global Head of Financial Institutions, commented: 'Having Ian joining confirms the strengthening of our international footprint for Financial Institutions, adding expertise and contacts to build the multi-product dialogue with Banks, Building Societies, Market Infrastructure providers and Challenger Banks.'

Ian Haywood brings more than 25 years of experience in the UK banking space, both in origination and on the client side. For the past year, he was a consultant to Williams & Glyn building a Treasury Function for the planned standalone bank. Prior to that he was at JP Morgan for 8 years where he was Head of UK and Ireland FIG DCM and worked closely with the Corporate Finance and the Corporate Banking teams. Key clients included UK clearing banks, challenger banks and building societies. Prior to his origination role at JP Morgan, Mr Haywood worked on the client/Treasury side for 15 years.
