ABN AMRO launches fund with the Oranje Fonds

ABN AMRO and the Oranje Fonds have launched the ABN AMRO Equal Opportunities Fund, a new initiative aimed at promoting equal opportunities for children and young people in the Netherlands.
Supporting equal opportunities
The ABN AMRO Equal Opportunities Fund will support social initiatives that help children and young people growing up in less advantaged circumstances to develop their talents and participate fully in society. The fund will also contribute to initiatives that help reduce socio-economic disadvantage and improve future prospects for young people.
Dan Dorner, Vice Chair and Chief Commercial Officer Corporate Banking at ABN AMRO, said: "Talent is everywhere, but opportunities are not always equally distributed. With this fund, we want to help remove barriers that may prevent young people from developing their talents and pursuing their ambitions. By joining forces with the Oranje Fonds, we can support initiatives that make a tangible difference in the lives of young people."

Multi-Year fund
The ABN AMRO Foundation launches the fund as part of its commitment to society and works closely with the Oranje Fonds in doing so.
The fund has a budget of €300,000 over three years and will support social initiatives selected and guided by the Oranje Fonds.
Promoting equal opportunities in society
The is committed to creating a society in which everyone has the opportunity to participate. Together with community organisations, clients and employees, the Foundation supports initiatives that promote equal opportunities, financial wellbeing and social inclusion.
Each year, thousands of ABN AMRO employees volunteer their time to support children and young people, for example by helping them discover their talents, build self-confidence and broaden their horizons through unique learning and development experiences. In addition, the Foundation provides community organisations with financial support, expertise and access to networks to help increase their impact.
