ABN AMRO is lowering interest rates on its retail savings accounts with effect from 31 March 2016. For example, the interest rate on the most popular savings account, ‘Vermogens Spaarrekening’, will be 0.80% including bonus interest, while it was previously 0.9%. Clients have been informed accordingly.

The interest rate on ‘Direct Sparen’ instant-access internet savings accounts will be reduced from 0.6% to 0.5%. Interest rates on other savings products have also been lowered by 0,1 percentage point.

The reduction follows from the continuing decline in interest rates on money and capital markets. For more information on interest rates for savings accounts, please read this messageClick here for a summary of current interest rates.
