ABN AMRO lowered interest rates on its personal savings accounts on 30 June 2016. Clients have been informed accordingly. The interest rate on the popular savings account Vermogens Spaarrekening was lowered from 0.8% to 0.7%.

The interest rate on Direct Sparen, an instant-access savings account, was reduced to 0.4%, from 0.5%. Interest rates on other savings accounts have also been lowered by 0.1 percentage point.

The reduction follows from the continuing decline in interest rates on money and capital markets. Read this news story for more information on how savings rates are calculated. Or view the list of current savings rates.
