ABN AMRO: Women at the top on the rise
- Diversity and inclusion
On Tuesday, Gerrit Zalm was presented with the first copy of the Talent to the Top Monitor 2014 by Gerdi Verbeet, chairman of the Monitoring Committee.
As the 100th signatory to the Talent to the Top Charter, ABN AMRO is among the leaders in terms of diversity. The monitor shows that the bank has met its target of 20% women in senior positions in 2014. This percentage has meanwhile risen to 22.
Managing Board chairman Gerrit Zalm said he was impressed with the results achieved by the signatories of the Charter compared with organisations that have not signed the document. “In my experience, having a diverse team really makes for a different atmosphere. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved at ABN AMRO in recent years. The results of the monitor provide compelling confirmation of the efforts we have put into getting women into senior positions in the bank for many years now.”
Charter
The Charter is designed to advance and retain female talent in senior positions. While participation in the Charter is voluntary, signatories commit to quantifiable targets and are monitored by an independent committee each year.
