Frans van der Horst on coronavirus measures for retail clients

- Products and services
The coronavirus outbreak is having an acute impact on many people’s financial situation. By offering clients a payment holiday for their mortgages or loans, ABN AMRO hopes to ease the burden temporarily. In a short video, Frans van der Horst, CEO of Retail Banking, explains what the measures involve, how the process is proceeding, who is eligible for a payment holiday and what else clients can do to get a grip on their finances.
Mortgage payment holiday
As part of its measures to help retail clients survive the coronavirus crisis financially, ABN AMRO is giving them a 3-month payment holiday for mortgages. After two months, the bank will contact the client to make follow-up arrangements. One of the options is to extend the payment holiday by three months to a total of six months.
