Legal Woman of the Year Award 2012 for Hanneke Dorsman

Hanneke Dorsman was named Legal Woman of the Year 2012 during the Legal Woman 2012 conference in Houten, the Netherlands. Dorsman, deputy Head Legal at ABN AMRO, received the award for in recognition of being the most inspiring top female lawyer. There were six finalists in total in the categories judicial authority, business and advocacy in the race for the title.
“I’m excited about winning this award, especially because financial institutions haven’t always been portrayed positively in the news recently.” Dorsman has recently worked on the splitting up of ABN AMRO and the integration with Fortis Bank Nederland.
The award is an initiative by Legal Women and Sdu Juridische Opleidingen. This national conference revolves around female lawyers, their development opportunities and possible hurdles they may encounter on their path to the top.
