ABN AMRO has agreed a new Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) effective 1 January 2008 for the bank's staff of approximately 24,000 employees in the Netherlands.
The CLA includes a pay increase of 3.25% and an increase of the level of salary paid after six months' sick leave. In a separate agreement the bank has decided a one-off 20% increase in the result-based bonuses for 2007. The social plan will be extended. ABN AMRO believes that the compensation and benefits package in the CLA is one of the best in the Netherlands.
