Almost half of all senior citizens in the Netherlands are lonely, and the likelihood of loneliness increases with age. ABN AMRO helps these people remain financially independent.
Sylvia Speeks is one of our 36 colleagues who have been trained by ABN AMRO to be a financial coach. She visits senior citizens at their homes.
“Besides helping clients with digital banking, we also check up on how they’re doing. Are they suffering from loneliness? Are there signs of early dementia? And if they want, we also check their account statements to make sure nobody’s used their bank card without their permission.”
