The article published in the Dutch daily de Telegraaf contains an error. The article states that third parties can make personal offers to ABN AMRO customers using their transaction data. This is untrue.

ABN AMRO emphasises that the bank does not provide or sell any customer data to third parties. The situation described in de Telegraaf referred to an offer made by ABN AMRO to its own customers, in which the bank gives customers who open a savings account a gift certificate to the Dutch Prénatal shop.

Customers can indicate that they no longer wish to receive offers, in which case ABN AMRO will immediately stop sending them.

ABN AMRO acts in accordance with prevailing regulations and legislation.
