I want to see the world. So I'm really happy with my trainee assignment in Hong Kong.
After my Bachelor's degree in Business Economics, I studied at the University of Bradford in the UK and obtained a Master's degree in Finance. I was also full-time vice chairman of an economics study association. It was a busy but enjoyable time!
After about ten months as a Trainee, I can say that there is a lot of room at ABN AMRO for your own initiative. While carrying out assignments, I discover which part of the bank suits me best and grow in the way that works for me. I will be leaving for Hong Kong soon for my fourth rotation.
I like to play sports in my free time. I am a member of the ABN AMRO mixed hockey team, for example, and I really enjoy it! I also like travelling and I am a fundraiser for Niños de Guatemala, a foundation dedicated to improving education and entrepreneurship in Guatemala.
As a Trainee, I spend a couple of months in each department, so I have a very varied job. I talk to colleagues, supervisors and fellow trainees during meetings and over drinks. It’s illuminating, very enjoyable and good for my network.
