Not every child gets the chance to participate in sports, art and culture. At ABN AMRO, we believe that all children should have the opportunity to discover. Because the more they discover, the bigger they dream.
Discovering
What happens when children start to explore more? To find out, we went on a journey of discovery with children who don’t easily get a chance to participate in sports, art and culture. The journey helped them discover what it's like to make art in a museum, spray graffiti, play sports in a real stadium and play the violin. Before and after these trips, we asked them: what do you want to learn more about? Watch the video and see how their world has expanded and new ambitions have emerged.
Partnerships and initiatives
ABN AMRO Foundation helps children who do not get these opportunities to discover and develop their talents. We invest in educational, sports and cultural programmes and organise volunteer activities.
ABN AMRO is a partner of Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur (Youth Sports & Culture Fund). They give children the opportunity to engage in activities like playing sports on a regular basis or taking music lessons. Together with the volunteers of ABN AMRO Foundation, we offer sports and cultural activities so that children can discover what they are good at.
During The Week of Discovery we let 4,000 children who don’t get these opportunities experience art, culture and sports. More than 1,000 ABN AMRO employees will lead various workshops throughout the country – from padel and football to street art and dance. The week is organised in collaboration with our partner Youth Sports & Culture Fund.
