ABN AMRO and The Startup Orgy (TSO) have teamed up to fulfil their shared ambition of helping Dutch start-ups excel. They will be opening co-working space “TSO Munt Square” in the centre of Amsterdam in June. Both parties will use this office space to support start-ups with their expertise.
The office space will offer a combination of knowledge, an extensive network and events on growth and innovation. “This initiative is a first step towards enhancing our collaboration with start-ups. As start-ups are capable of swiftly developing new technologies, products and services, they can help make the Netherlands more innovative. We also believe working together with start-ups will mobilise innovation within the bank, which is why we are keen to share our professionals, networks and office space with them,” says Gert-Jan Meppelink, Senior Managing Director of ABN AMRO Business Services.
Opening doors
Co-working-space builder TSO – which itself is a start-up – explicitly opted to partner with a full-service bank, co-founder Dave van der Pol explains: “ABN AMRO’s extensive network in the financial industry clearly provides our start-ups with added value. The bank can help open doors and tap networks typically difficult for start-ups to access. It will be a great help that ABN AMRO is literally opening its doors by having professionals from multiple disciplines work from this office space and use their expertise to facilitate start-ups.”
