ABN AMRO joins as a founding partner of The Stack, the new AI hub set to open in Amsterdam in September 2026. This strategic initiative aims to accelerate the development and international growth of Dutch AI scale-ups.

The Stack will be a physical meeting place for Europe’s leading AI builders and will form part of a network of prominent AI hubs and companies across Europe and beyond. Entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, and policymakers will come together here to drive acceleration on key themes such as access to capital, talent development, regulation, and international market access.

As a founding partner, ABN AMRO plays an active role in scaling AI companies and connecting fast-growing technology firms with established organizations. ABN AMRO contributes its broad expertise in financial services, technology, regulation, and risk management to The Stack, as well as an extensive European network. Founders gain access to support in areas such as fundraising, banking solutions, and access to capital markets—critical building blocks for further growth and international expansion.

Yorick Naeff, Head of Innovation at ABN AMRO: 'Collaboration with technology companies and ambitious founders is essential to delivering on our strategy. The AI hub enables us to stay close to the latest AI developments while also supporting Dutch scale-ups in rapid growth, developing safe and responsible AI solutions, and successfully collaborating with large organizations.'

AI is an integral part of ABN AMRO’s innovation and transformation agenda. The bank has been investing in AI and advanced analytics for years and works closely with startups and technology partners. The responsible, transparent, and ethical use of AI is central to this approach, supported by clear AI principles and governance models.
