Joost Bröker appointed new Director of Design at ABN AMRO Digital Banking

ABN AMRO is proud to announce that Joost Bröker, currently Head of UX Design at online retailer Bol.com, will be joining ABN AMRO Digital Banking as its new Director of Design effective 1 September 2017. This new position at ABN AMRO Digital Banking reflects the bank’s ongoing efforts to give its clients the modern digital banking service that they want.

His new job at ABN AMRO Digital Banking puts Joost in charge of further professionalising design and content. His experience as Head of UX Design at Bol.com makes Joost a valuable addition to the team run by Frank Verkerk, ABN AMRO's Chief Digital Officer (CDO). 

Frank Verkerk comments, 'I'm very pleased to welcome Joost to our team. His extensive experience and skill in the field of design will help us to further implement methods such as Design Thinking. We want our services not only to have a Wow! factor, but also to give added convenience to our customers - such as with Tikkie, for example. We have a strong UX team, and we've been coordinating with our own Usability Lab for years now, testing our designs directly on customers. But UX isn't determined by the designers alone: other developers, product owners and of course senior management also have input. Joost's addition to our Management Team should boost our ability to realise these ambitions every single day and exceed our customers' expectations.'
