Rutger Schellens new CEO of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V.

Rutger Schellens has been appointed as the new CEO of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V., subject to the approval of the supervisory authorities. He will succeed Marcel Jongmans, who last year decided to pursue his career outside ABN AMRO.

Rutger Schellens is an experienced banker, with more than 30 years of experience in Corporate Banking and Financial Markets in particular. As Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets Solutions at ABN AMRO, he has already held responsibility for clearing activities for several years and is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. With Rutger’s appointment as CEO, the role of chairman will be taken over by Frans van der Horst, now deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank.
