ABN AMRO is pleased to announce Karin Kersten has been appointed as Global Head of Trade & Commodity Finance, part of Corporate & Institutional Banking. ABN AMRO has a leading position in trade and commodities financing.

After obtaining a degree in Business Economics at Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen, Ms Kersten joined MeesPierson in 1996 as a Senior Associate at Corporate Finance & Capital Markets. In 2000, she became a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Ms Kersten returned to the financial sector in 2003 and has since then held various positions, including in the integration of Fortis Bank Nederland and ABN AMRO, Risk Management and Transaction Banking.

International growth
